HPHT synthesis is a method of synthesizing diamonds by mimicking the conditions of nature.
High pressure is generated by concentrating hydraulic force on a small area.
At such high temperatures and pressures, carbon atoms dissolve into molten metals such as iron, cobalt, and nickel, turning them into micrometer-sized synthetic diamonds.
Micron+™ / Micron™ UFD™
Artificial diamond and CBN powder for precision grinding and polishing of Si, GaN, and SiC sapphire
E6 Micron Diamond Powder has launched the Micron™ UFD™, an ultra-fine diamond abrasive specifically designed for semiconductor component processing, in addition to the standard-grade Micron+™ series used for precision grinding, cutting, and polishing. Custom specifications are available, primarily ranging from a median particle size of less than 4 μm down to nano-diamonds, making them ideal for processing semiconductor substrate materials such as Si, SiC, and GaN. Key features include the ability to customize grade selection, adjust dimensional tolerances, ensure batch-to-batch consistency, and functionalize the surface properties of diamond particles according to customer requirements.
Synthetic Diamond Wheel-Sized Abrasive Grains <PDA Series> offer the highest quality for grinding a wide variety of materials. Their unmatched sharpness tackles glass, cemented carbide, and even hard materials such as those used in chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) and silicon. This results in precise material removal and an exceptionally smooth finish. By selecting the ideal diamond grit size for each application, you can achieve optimal performance. Various coatings are also available as needed.
SDB1000 Series synthetic diamond abrasives are ideal for cutting and drilling applications in construction, civil engineering, and stonework.
Synthetic Saw Size Diamond Powder <SDB1000 Series> represents the cutting edge of wire sawing and coring. Embedded in saw blades and wires, these fine diamonds cut through reinforced concrete, granite, marble, and other natural stones. Their extremely high hardness ensures clean, precise cuts and extends tool life. Compared to conventional abrasives, synthetic diamonds produce less dust and noise and enable high-speed machining. Various coatings are available depending on the application.
ABN Series
CBN abrasives used for efficient grinding of ferrous materials in the automotive and aerospace industries
CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) Powder <ABN> is designed for demanding grinding applications. It excels at grinding hard ferrous materials such as camshafts, bearings, and Inconel, as well as superalloys. This enables optimal material removal from the workpiece while minimizing wear on the grinding wheel. Additionally, CBN generates lower grinding temperatures compared to conventional abrasives, minimizing damage to these precision components. Various coatings are also available as needed.
