Thanks to its world-leading technology, Element Six is mimicking what mother nature does in a very short time scale, meaning minutes or weeks making synthetic diamonds for industrial applications.
They use two key technologies to make synthetic diamonds. High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). HPHT diamonds are mainly used for their hardness to drill for Oil & Gas but also to machine and polish very fine surfaces like those used in smartphones.
CVD diamonds are used in optical applications and for heat spreading in lasers and even as loudspeakers for high-end audio systems. They have lots of future potential that is waiting to be unlocked. For example, by engineering CVD diamonds, they can be used in semiconductors or quantum applications like in quantum sensing.
Element Six is relentlessly innovating to engineer ever-better synthetic diamond products, scaling novel solutions for new and existing applications, expanding from niche segments into large markets.
